I like the widths and layout. The white throws me off though, have u thought of a very light pink in place of the white to make it more soft?? Then like someone said, do a ruffle around and use the light pink....what u think? Such a nice idea and she will love it.

I was at a meeting at the middle school and was shocked at the weight of most of these young kids. Honestly, when I was in school everyone of them would be considered the fat kid. But then again the majority of the teachers there were very overweight too. I mean when the girls P.E. coach is obviously overweight what incentive does that give the girls? I wanted to ask was I the only one that wondered why she was the PE and Health teacher? People?
The bullying of the young girl needs to be stopped whatever the reason. I think you are wonderful for making this quilt for this young girl. I can imagine how thrilled she will be when she sees it!

so this is going to be a quick quilt.
i started with 1 yard of flannel (#7).."funny Babies" by Amy Bradley

then pulled the other fabrics to match...i think they match. i wasn't happy with the fabrics as they set..so i cut 1.5" white..to seperate some of the colors, make them pop.

    there is polka dots,purple stripe,small flowers w/purple,pink,blue

the widest strip is cut 4" the smallest 1.5"

should i make the wider ones narrower?
    any suggestions?

Looks great as you have it.

No do not make the wider ones more narrow. I like how the print shows up and it adds interest.
Very sweet of you to do this. i am sorry for the girl.

I like the layout, and how thoughtful are you?

I was bullied as a Jr High student, I looked a lot younger than my peers and had a very long 'awkward' stage, and it was a miserable time. My parents were not sympathetic, and anyone being kind would have been so nice.

    Bless you.
