I posted about the price increase in peanut products some time ago. The economic reports DH gets reported to watch for a big price increase. I always post when I read about a price increase to watch for. I bought two cases of natural organic peanut butter at the grocery store, the brand wasn't going to be stocked there anymore so it was on clearance! 60% off the regular price. It will last for years unopened. No matter what the price will be, I won't have to buy any and will have plenty to share. Several shoppers were buying regular price processed peanut butter and never even asked to buy the better quality and lower sale priced jars in bulk. One lady said her kids would only eat one brand of peanut butter and then complained how expensive it was. ? Ok. I'll save money and my family will just have to eat good quality, low priced peanut butter.

Not me. PB is poison to my dd so I don't buy it at all. My other two kids don't like it. It's obviously not a basic life necessity  as we have managed to live without it for 15 yrs now.

I love it dearly but don't keep it in the house as I have a son with a severe allergy. Peanut butter is nothing but a fond memory, as is pecan crusted meat, peanut butter cookies, and nuts in my oatmeal... sigh. Now I feel all nostalgic, not to mention HUNGRY! :)

But seriously, if I did keep it around, I'd be at Costco right now finding the biggest vats of the stuff they sell!
