10-minute (several hour?) block lap quilt
#32
I bet your grandson really like the quilt you made for him.
My sashing is actually Navy. I had thought about black but when I went shopping the navy look so right with it so that is what I did.
I tried to press my seams open but those with the center caught in them just wouldn't press right. It took some time to cut away all the underneath but I think it was worth it. Hope it puffs up a little when quilted.

How ingenious to add the black to make the cathedral window effect! Also very smart to cut away the bulk. I made a 10 min block quilt out of my son's old military uniforms. I zipzaged all the seams open with that thread that dissolves when it gets wet. I sent it to the long armer that way. When he was done with the quilting, I washed it. It turned out well, the thread dissolved like it should and the quilting held the seams open. so that helped with the bulk. I gave it to my 9 yr old grandson for Christmas and he loved it. Nice to have something to cuddle with while daddy is deployed.

Thanks you QuiltingJaguar. I share my Etsy shop with my sister Vivian. We are pretty low on items at the present, I just let bunch of listing expire but both of us have several new items to add as soon as I get around to photographing some.
