I check on the internet for this basting spray and it was NOT recommended for hand quilters. SIGH!!!

As for using with hand quilting ... I don't do hand quilting, though I know some use it when they do.

I get mine at Discount Embroidery in the large cans. There isn't any shipping and no tax either. (though that may change)

The 505 holds it all together so there's no need for handbasting the sandwich.
And keeps it together as you quilt.

I do this too, but I DO pin the quilts. I've found that only small size quilts will stay without pinning.

Starting in the center, spray a quarter of the quilt, smooth the batting, repeat with the other 3 corners. Flip it and do the same thing with the front. Easy as pie to get your entire quilt smooth and even
