ErinMarie, don't worry if you've tossed your receipt. Just call them and tell them, and tell them you'll bring your statement (if you charged it) when it comes. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Goodwill is supposed to check to see that things work before selling. I would return it.

I had a problem with my OttLite several years ago - it wouldn't turn on - reported the problem to the company, shipped the light to them, they repaired it and sent it back to me. Guess I got lucky that I got a response and it worked out in my favor.

I definitely have mixed emotions about Ott lights. I love them when they work! But trying to get a a response from Ott lite that I am happy with has turned out to be a different situation. My husband accidentally broke the globe on a floor lamp. Turns out the floor light was no longer being made and they had nothing that could replace the globe. AND as it turned out, the globe was an odd size and I had a horrible time finding one that would fit. Finally had to buy an antique glass shade. Whew! Took several months to get that one resolved. I sure didn't want to trash the light.
