I made a NYB table topper for our oldest daughter when I first started quilting. She loves it! When we go there, I look at it and can't believe I made it! Not perfect, but she likes it and that is what matters. Mariah.

I read a lot of tutorials about the NYB blocks first and decided it was easier for me to take the paper off before pinning the curved piece. I use lots of pins and just take my time. Don't be scared, just try it. If I can do it, I know you can!

I hope that last line didn't come across the wrong way. Just jump right in and try a pattern. That's what I do. Sometimes I end up just doing one block. I guess I like the challenge of seeing how it's put together. haha I still have no idea about the quilting part. That's something I don't enjoy at all, but I still call myself a quilter.
