I have to agree with everyone else.... Beutiful quilt, great color combination and a truly unique design. I also, would love to read more details about it, like did you design this yourself, how did you piece it (foundation paper peicing, templates?). Are you quilting it by machine? Dimensions? I am always fascinated to hear about the technical aspects from other quiltmakers.

I am not familiar with M. Watts, is this person some one in your region. I do love the pattern and your color selection. Is this applique??

The pattern is a J. Michelle Watts pattern, using strips and a wedge ruler. I added the outside border and piano key border plus the offwhite on the edge (to fit my daughters bed) The main block is the qtr "fan" and I rearranged a few from the original pattern. It measures about 91 x 96. I don't remember who but she went to Tucson and got the book Quilts of the Southwest -- its the same designer. Again thanks all for the kind words and encouragement.

Oh what a nice design! You have really made something special for your daughter. The design confused me at first, and then I looked at the region of the country you are from. This is a beauty. Ever get to taos? I would love to visit there.
