    With what I have been reading. I agree with everyone. Put the brown all around the quilt top.

    Count me "IN" with brown...... BUT my question back at you is WHAT is that beauty lurking on the ironing board to the right of log cabin quilt ???? better picture please! I think I see an interesting border???

    Great quilt, although I would add the brown border to the top and bottom, it would make it look more finished and stabilize the piano key border.

    Definitely continue with the brown border. It looks beautiful and finishing the brown border makes it more cohesive and finished looking.

    This is beautiful. You could finish the top and bottom border then add something completely different. A Asian print, a floral print. I wonder if you may have something in your stash. Your friend will enjoy whatever you do.
