I have been using floor mats. I get the kind of mats that fit together for kids or exercise rooms, cut off the little tabs and cut a piece to fit the bottom. Works great no sagging and it is washable without removing the mat.

I have purchased cheap vinyl tiles at Home Depot or Lowes and cut them to the size of the purse bottom (use a utility knife, not your rotary cutter). Cover it with an envelope of your lining fabric. It can be removed for washing as needed.

I have a friend who used the plastic sheets that are used in drop ceilings, these are the ones that go over the lights. I think they are about 2' x 4' and cut very easily with a utility knife.
