That is an awesome fluffy cuddly blanket.
I really like the colors and giant block pattern.
No quilt us too small to be a quilt you should take a look at some of the fabulas minis some of the members make. Some only make wall hangings or baby quilts, while others only make queens or larger.
It as a front a back and a middle (which is not a requirement) and its held together with "quilting" or tied to keep it together it's a quilt. And your first one is great, nice job.

Believe me, that's a quilt and a great one at that!!! Adorable kids, too. And, there is no such things as a quilt too small. I have seen some very tiny quilts. I saw a log cabin quilt this weekend that was about 3" square.

Congratulations. As long as the kids love it, then you have won the battle. I am working on a quilt for my baby GD who will be 1 yo on the 5th of December. I am just learning FMQ on my long arm set up my DH designed ( http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...d-t243621.html ). I am not accomplished like most of these ladies but I keep trying. I asked my daughter if she wanted me to tear out the stitches that were not as good as I wanted them to be and she said, "NO!!! It has been made by her Nanny and she will love it all the same".
To people that don't quilt, the stitches and the piecing look fine and they don't see the mistakes like you might. Good job.

Make sure you sign it somewhere... and date it! Initials and the date or an embroidered or quilted symbol that you can sew into ALL the next quilts you accomplish.
CONGRATULATIONS! You have reasons (that's with a plural "s") to be proud.
