Leave it?

I just spent an afternoon ripping apart 6 chevron blocks because I had mucked them up using the directional fabric incorrectly. I tried to talk myself into leaving them; didn't look bad really but after 3 days telling myself it was fine.....arrrggghhhhhh...I just couldn't leave them. Particularly after I learnt how I could've/should've avoided it in the first place.....thankyou all the kind QB peoples, another little lesson learnt!

I'd either leave as is and sew all other pieces of this same fabric back-side-up, or else replace it. Otherwise, your eye (and probably only your eye, but that's important too) will always seek out that single piece.

If you tried to explain the "error" to someone after it is finished, (and what quilter doesn't do that?) you would have a very hard time getting them to understand what you thought was wrong. I'd leave it alone if I were you. If you want to drive someone crazy, ask them to find the error in your quilt after it is finished.
