I'll be working on my scrappy GFG. I have all the hexagons ready to put the last two rows together. The flowers are done, I just have to add the beige and green to each flower and attach them to the quilt.

I may get at a Christmas table mat today. First have to check my garden for weeds but if there is no breeze, the mosquitos will be out and I will be in (sewing).

It isn't sewn and may never be (my seams aren't THAT bad, LOL). I figured I'd show it anyway. I thought it was a unique version of 54/40.

My DH said that the star points look like lady's legs. The ladies are bending down and looking between their legs, LOL. Men.

It actually has more contrast than it shows here.

Your DH's comment made me LOL. That's all I can see now. At first I thought it looked like cats' heads with the points being the ears. But now...ladies' legs. Hahahaha

Will continue to work on the Not My Project equilateral triangle, 6 point star quilt. Have all the stars sewn together, now need to fill in with diamonds along the edges. I'm seriously making this up as I go along....and it kind of looks like it!

    Organizing my sewing room.
Starting my FPC for our swap this month.
Starchi ng silk...to make myself a dress for an Aug. wedding.
I found an old baby quilt from the 50s with appliques and going to wash it...it looks in perfect condition. It was used as packing material! It looked like an old sheet. Was I surprised when I turned it over...the box of stuff was being tossed.

Any pictures of your pillowcases? I love making them and have made many. I also have my granddaughters interested in making them. I use a glue stick on the seams and my 5 yr. old GD sews them.

Yesterday DH and I took a road trip and picked up 3 more rows (about 400 mile round trip) and I'm going to see if I can get my Row by Row quilt to the floppy stage. I also have one quilt have done on the LA, so I need to get that finished before I can put the RxR quilt on. I've got 9 rows almost done (need embelishments) and these three to complete. Should be a fun time sewing!

BTW - no family/fun plans for the 4th, so lots of time to spend in the sewing room.

Cutting out pillowcase dresses and pillowcase patterns to put together in kits for a quilting group I belong to. We make all sorts of comfort items for Safe House, shelter for families/individuals trying to get away from abusive situations. Some of the pillowcase dresses will go to a Foster care organization that provides clothing to Foster families that are caring for kids. We keep everything we make local here in Yuma AZ.
