    I use a salad spinner for romaine, cut w/plastic knife, it lasts for two days without turning brown on edges...
    The heads of romaine I keep in Tupperware container, has ridges on bottom, fits two heads, had it for years...

    Martha Stewart showed wrapping Lettuce in Alum. Foil. I really thought she had "lost it." I tried it and Lettuce keeps wonderfully --3 weeks many times. Wrap it around the long way, then around the other way.
    it keeps most any veggie.
    Unbelievable unless you give it a tr!
