What a sweet little girl! She looks very confident as she sews on paper. And she translated that confidence into a great quilt for Carl. Nicely done, Grandma.

So nice that grandma and grandchild can spend time sewing together. Beautiful quilt for her pet.

Isn't is wonderful to be able to teach your granddaughter to quilt and have them love it. I did the same with 2 of my granddaughters when we were at their house to babysit for a week. They both did a great job, I am so proud of them.

What a sweetheart! Congratulations to her on her wonderful quilt. That must be so rewarding to be able to share your craft with her. And I'm sure Carl is very appreciative!

It is so wonderful when we can pass on our love of sewing to another generation. When my oldest GD was 5 I gave her a sewing machine for Christmas. She had been unhappy with the "toy" sewing machine. Our birthdays are 2 days apart, so every year she would come spend a few days with me to celebrate. She made several quilts, and just fell in love with everything about sewing. A few months ago a friend gave me an older serger, which I gifted to DGD. Well, she is thrilled. She even took her sewing machine with her to college, made her curtains, even made a silk dress from fabric she got at a thrift shop. I miss the days of sewing with her, now that she is 21 and busy with her new life, but am thrilled that our "gift of sewing" has passed to another generation.
