That was lovely. What a way to start out in life, doing such a
marvelous thing.

Now, it's Michael's turn. Let him make what he wants, just to get
him started, and addicted!!!
I taught my 9 year old grandson to sew, he made himself a night
shirt like Grandpas, since both of them hate pajamas.

Now he is married and the father of a 5 year old, who has worn out
grandson's old night shirt, but I don't think GS's wife can sew. Have
to wait till they visit, then I'll get my hands on my GGS..and we'll
have fun!!

Very pretty. Love those bright colors. The flannel should make it nice and cozy.

Oh Maya I am so impressed. You are so lucky to be starting so young. I cann't imagine what you will be creating in 10 or 20 years. Great job.

Thank you for all the wonderful comments. Yes, I am very proud of her. She's been sewing since she was 5 years old but has only been quilting for about 2 years. She's already made, approximately 10 or more quilts. She's donated most of them to various charities (children's hospice, cancer association, etc.) Some she's made for her teacher's. You can see some of these on this forum, do a search for "Great job, Maya". She's got the quilting bug at her young age so I think she's hooked for life. I may have to invest in a better quality sewing machine for her soon, she's still using her Mini Janome.

I'm not sure if this was Laurel Burch fabric. It was already cut into strips when we purchased the kit and there is no mention of it on the instructions.

Thank you again!!! :-D
