I recently was looking for some red and blue fabrics in my stash and realized I had very little. I was actually surprised but then in reading your question I realized I've not used those colors much at all.

My favorites would be: Purples, oranges, mostly brights. I do also love batiks and have a large range from darks to lights.

Looks to me from the response that Purple is one of the top picks. Let us know when you tally?

I like them all! LOL!

But my most favorites would probably be (in order): purples, greens, blues, and pinks.

Purple, green and blue. Basically cool colors. Clear as opposed to antiqued colors.

I love red but I haven't made a quilt in red yet. I also like blue, aegean (sp) family. I am not too fond of pastels. But the thing that really gets me is when the wrong color families are put together. ( if making a quilt in brights....stick to brights and if making a quilt with muted colors...stick to muted colors, etc.) Just my opinion...

I like dark and bolds. As for the color....have you really looked at all the different colors that are out?? It doesn't really matter which color you are looking at, there are absolutely gorgeous pieces in every color. I use to have blues and purples for my favorite colors, but now I can't have a favorite. There are just too many beautiful shades and prints, etc. in every color.

I love anything in the aqua/turquoise/teal family. I have some of the Blank Quilting cervical cancer fabrics that will make a nice quilt someday. I also love purple/green combos. I could go on about colors and combos forever...I work for a color company.

So far the quilts I've made have been pinks/purples, greens, red/black/white, red/gold/copper/antique gold/black, fall colors(with a couple brights thrown in),and have fabric for blues, purples, muted earth tones (greens/browns/bieges), a retro brights (aqua/hot pink/orange/neon green)...uh, have I left out any?
