Great job. The baby would be 28 years old now and could very possibly have children of his own. You never know, maybe the family is still in the area. But I love that you are donating it to a charitable group.

You did a great job on it and it looks gorgeous! How odd though that someone would take all that time creating it, only to sell it at a garage sale. You would think it would have some meaning to her since it was made for her child.

What a treasure! You did beautifully restoring it and finishing it. I can't see the threads you're talking about but that would just give it a bit of authentic embroidery, wouldn't it? Such a sweet design!
