My husband loves my fruitcakes made from the Betty Crocker cookbook. The dark one. I double the candy and nuts and he loves it. Me too

I got one in home ec in highschool-1962. I have a later addition but I seem to go back and use the older one. It is shabby but Still count on it for the best recipes for pies.

Mine is from the '60's and the cover is held on with plastic packing tape. I treasure it. I got it when we got married. One of my favorite recipes is Cheeseburger Pie. There is also a good hamburger stroganoff in it. There are lots of good recipes in it.

This book was given to us as a wedding gift in December of 1965. Found today, tucked inside . . . a list of ALL our bills for then (this included utilities, furniture, etc.) Grand total of $235.60! This included an $11.50 payment on my first SINGER (which I bought from the local SINGER dealer on a rent to own deal). Thanks for prodding me to the pancake recipe and a lot of good memories!

I use the pancake recipe too!

My Betty Crocker Cookbook is 36 years old, been around longer than my husband, and may well be the reason he has stuck around for over 30 years!
