That is a very beautiful S 'n' W quilt - the feature fabric caught my eye because I used the exact same fabric in my first S 'n' W several years ago - photo attached. I have since made a S 'n' W in the Ribbon Weave pattern (photo attached) and have just bought fabric to make the Fan design - can't wait to start on it! I am sure your son is thrilled to have a quilt made by both his mother and grandmother!

Beautiful! What is a ribbon weave; fabric, technique???
I really like the stack and whack, and want to make one pretty soon.
