I have two of those War machines! One was taken care of very well...the other is atrocious...mildewy, sews rough, just a mess! I'm gonna clean her all up and get her working. They do look like old work horses, tho, don't they??
Congratulations on the acquisition! And on the husband who can work on her!!

My machine is just like yours! I bought the cabinet, stool and machine all for $20. I plan on a motorectomy and putting it in my treadle cabinet; still need to clean and oil the machine. I want to sell the cabinet that it came in. I use the stool when I treadle, a rolling chair and treadling is a bad idea. lol I end up rolling backwards.
