Here's another deluded seller in Colorado. http://denver.craigslist.org/atq/5106315694.html. If that is excellent condition, I wonder what fair looks like? At the very least, it would have looked better out of the case (and since when is a Singer Redeye head worth $275?)

Maybe it's that Necchi foot control that makes it so valuable? Snicker.

Featherweight and table at a local antique shop. All for the low low price of $2250.
If that wasn't a bargain enough for you there is also a 66 with reverse there for $275.

Do they charge admission too? They have some serious delusions about value IMO.

Yeah, that's a little high, but I've seen one go for $1500, so it will probably sell. Those FW cabinets, if it's original and not a repro, are few and far between. And if the cabinet has the lift in it, rare as hens teeth.

Since I am back looking, I chanced upon this on Ebay. Want a nice looking (really) Singer 99 crank handle machine in a bentwood case for a mere $2000? http://www.ebay.com/itm/201386353219...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
That is a pretty setup (I think it is a UK model 99K, but since they seem to be more concerned with showing the bentwood case than any detail about the machine I am not positive). The Lotus decals look to have been restored

Perhaps you should look again.

That’s a class 15 machine, not a 99.
Those aren’t Lotus Decals. The decals that are on it probably haven’t been restored, since they probably haven’t been on the machine for very many years.
There’s a feed drop knob on the deck, normally associated with recent issues of retro Class 15 machines.

That is one of the Asian made ones. They still make them, just not under the Singer name. I think you can get them for about $20 each if you want to order 500 of them.

You're absolutely right--once I got past being dazzled by the price and took a better look at the dim picture I can see the Sphinx motif. With that price, you would think they would have better pictures.

ETA: when looking at the pictures again, I noticed that it did say Singer on the bentwood case and on the top of the machine. Carefully did not show any serial numbers, however.

Seemed original, I have nothing to compare it to. No lift, that I did check. I figure they might get $1500 for it with the machine.

No admission fee, just an unfriendly look when we walked in.
