I like your test block very much! The Quilters Cache directions say to iron towards the dark color, so I did & it turned out fine. I do use pins to make the points match. Oh, & I square up the sections before joining with the others.
    Hope this helps.
    hugs,
    dj

Zoezee, that sure is a pretty block. I can't help with the ironing thing. I try to remember to iron open my triangles. The rest gets ironed to one side or the other. So the seams nest good for me. But, then try to iron to the darker side. See, not much help here either.

I use Judith's methods for creating this block, it has worked so far with the blocks I have made. But then there are many ways to accomplish any achievement.

Can you change me to 3 sets instead of 5? After looking at my schedule for the next few weeks, I'm afraid I won't have time to make all 5 sets, but I do have 3 ready (plus an extra). Thanks!

Zozee, it does fit in, as we decided to do bright as well as pastels! I mean, tulips .. can't get more spring flowers that tulips!
I think she may have thought we were just doing pastels, as that was an early discussion. But so many of us love the brights too, that we are doing all kinds of beautiful florals. Just like a real garden, the soft and the bright flowers will dance around and sing in harmony!

zozee I like all the beautiful flowers in your practice block It looks good to me, I know what you mean about wanting the blocks to be perfect for a swap but do remember that not all of us ladies have been sewing for a long time, and we will not judge anyone in the swap, this is an opportunity for everyone to hone their skills, I know that doing these swaps have helped be tremendously.

Texas ladies I was stationed at FT Hood Tx (Killen, Tx) for about 2 years and then in FT Sam Houston TX (San Antonio) for about 1 and a half years, I liked TX but it does get hot. If I remember right I did take a trip to Abilene once.
