Sorry for the delayed "thank you" all for the lovely blocks I received. I've had company for the past two weeks and have just now been able to get to the site for any length of time. Can't wait to play with my blocks!

Givio and NZquilter your star blocks are looking good.

Hey sewbiz I love this is the layout I have decided on it for my 9 patches.

Can you tel me how you made the point blocks That makes this radiate out so beautifully without losing the points. for some reason my brain is not comprehending this and I keep messing it up.

Thank you for your help

The driveway was partly shady by that time of day.

Well Billi, most of the white triangles are HSTs, but the narrower, pointy ones are tri-recs. You need the two tri rec
rulers to cut them. Got mine at JoAnn's.

Eleanor Burns sells a pattern for this, but I just made it from a picture. All the blocks are 6.5" unsewn: The 9Ps, the HSTs, and the tri-recs.

Not losing points has a lot to do with your seam allowances. If you sew too narrow a seam, the point will come out to close to the edge and you'll lose it when you sew your blocks together. If it's 1/4" from the edge, you won't lose it.
