Now that I have my starter flimsy in my grubby little paws, I went back to Ricky's April video to review his instructions (if any) for finishing it. I had to go through it 3 times... I kinda wish he'd do the monthly video, and then a separate pdf with *just* the instructions. I get kept getting lost with all the extraneous jibber jabber. 😆😆😆

Peckish, What did you learn? I put a two inch border around mine and called it finished. Was there a challenge put forth by RT on our completing it?

Is Janet sending us our files or are we supposed to send her pictures 7&8? I don’t want her to have to upload all of them.

I am working on getting mine quilted. I added a small inner border and then a larger outer border. I added the picture of where I am so far. I hope to finish quilting this week - it mostly straight line with curves in the sky and grass and will probably follow the curves on the left side.
The outer border is also the backing.
Looking forward to seeing everyone's start to finish. I am so impressed with everyone's imagination and talents displayed in all of them.

Nope, no challenge. He essentially said do what you think is best to finish it off.

I am hoping Janet will be sending our 1-6 tomorrow so we have them in hand. I do not have confirmation of that date however.

Joyce that looks great!! Just the shapes alone with those gorgeous fall colors flows so beautifully from one spot to the next. The border colors you picked are perfect!!

I hope everyone had a great Star Wars day. It is May 5, Cinco de Mayo, so it is a Margharita Day for me! Hopefully we get photos from westernwilson today, too.

Everyone should have their photos from WesternWilson! THANK YOU, WESTERN WILSON!!! Three cheers to our archivist!

Time to get ready for the Ricky Tims portal to open and get 1-6 uploaded. (and 7-8)

I nominate c_joyce to lead a class on how to slice and dice successfully! Am I wrong in that she was the only one willing to slice and dice?

    Yes, thank you WW!!!

I did consider slicing & dicing, but didn't think it was a good fit on the flimsies I received. I think that was due to a lack of imagination (and bravery) on my part. I didn't think *my* flimsy was a good candidate for slice & dice, boy was I wrong! It turned out so cool!!

Ditto, Peckish a big thank you to WW
and, me too no slicing necessary
I'll bet the nearly 52,000 visitors to this thread (Wow!!) are nearly as anxious as we are to see all that slicing & dicing & our finishes.
