One of the ladies in my Guild has a pair with a serrated edge, nd said this is the best scissor for applique work... when it cuts, it prevents the fabric from fraying I have been on the hunt for a good price on a pair... I believe the manufacturing is from Clover... looking... :shock:

Here's the Elan serrated scissors. This is about the best price I've seen for them.

I tried this site, but said bad address. didn't get anything to come up.

I bought both sizes of Karen K. Buckley Scissors. I am working on a large applique project and have thoroughly enjoyed using them. I especially like the small scissors as they cut into small spaces accurately and easily.

After you click on it erase it back to the com and then use their search function. Search Elan scissors and you'll find 4 pairs.

The Elan scissors are identical to the Karen Kay Buckley scissor except the handle color is different and they're cheaper.

I love my small gingher's.. They work great! and I've had them for years, and they have stayed sharp and cut to the end.

I have a blunt nose 2.5" pair of Fons & Porter that are wonderful for reverse applique. They are super sharp but since there is no point I haven't made a boo boo yet. I found them at Tuesday Morning.

Used to use Ginghers and then found Kai scissors. $15. They are out of Seattle, Washington but they have a website.

Welcome from Washington state.
Depends on what kind of aplique I am doing.
I usr all kinds of scissors. Love the duck bill applique scissore and the pinking shiers for raw edge.
And just a good sharp scissor for triming parts that are turned with featherweigh interfacing... Ther are so many ways to applique....
