Thanks for all the input. I do believe I will do some serious looking for the best price now that I've heard your opinions. I spent the entire day cutting and my back is killing me, can't help but think how much easier it would have been with the AccuQuilt. Now where did I put that lottery ticket....

I absolutely love mine and it gives much more time to sew instead of messing around cutting. Small learning curve and actually wastes very little material. I bought the hard to cut dies first, dresden, appliques, drunkards path, weding ring, etc. I have done quilts I would never have attempted because the difficult cutting is easy with the Accuquilt GO. One suggestion is to break in your dies by cutting only 2 layers at a time, even though you can do 6 layers I wouldn't try it with that many layers at first.

I agree with fettertim. I love my alto quilt cut 2. I use it all the time. The problem I see with the accuquilt is that in order to do a lot of the shapes you need to buy the additional forms (can't think of the correct name) and they are not inexpensive.

BTW: my dgtr got mine on Ebay..... I have managed to get all my dies on sale especially JoAnn's seems to have them on sale on lot.

Debi, you are absolutely right. Also, it is bad to have any fabric hanging over the sides. Impossible to feed the die through.

Cost is too high for me right now but I want one. I cut fabric on one that belongs to a friend several weekends ago. THAT made me want one as quickly as I can afford it.

I love mine.!! Got it about a week ago and have used it every day since. I bought the 3- 2 1/2 strips cutting die and mat. I cut the strips then turn and wala you have 2 1/2 inch squares. I bought mine on amazon.com for $195.00. It comes with a die cut and a mat. That was a real bonus. My total with the 2 1/2 strip die cut and mat $257.00 free shipping! The mat does seem to wear more than I thought so I concentrate on rotating the mat end for end and upside down.
