That's a great idea- I have a stash of odd blocks I need to use up. Thanks for sharing your project!

I read a tip once that said before making blocks for a quilt make a practice block out of Christmas fabric to see if you like the pattern. Eventually, you have enough "practice" blocks to make a Christmas quilt :D

Great idea - I have a box full of left over parts. Have actually had to use some to repair a quilt here or there, but making a sampler is a wonderful idea and I think it would be a wonderful gift to nursing homes. Thanks for the inspiration!

I really like this idea! I'm usually so excited about making the quilt that I don't think of great things like this!

Well I usually make the number that I need, except once I made four more than I needed (miscalculated my measurements). So before you know it I have two quilts alike.

Maybe your key cover is stuck. The squares of plastic come off. pry it gently and it will pop up off. look for sticky around the bottom. sometimes the little sort of pressure spring contact gets bent down too far, don't force anything, just look to see if you can tell what is wrong, if you can't tell, just press the key cover back on and call for help from a teen...

I like your idea and will remember that for future left over blocks.
