tyvm.. what i mean about everything is Japanese is that the wording on the motor is Japanese and the site we found on the 15U's was in Japanese There was no book with this or any other info.. so we are still looking for information.

This is a real deal Singer and it was made for developing countries. 9 times out f 10 this was a rental machine hence the companies name and number on the machines case. The machines do have decals on them they are buried under a clear coat, and Singer had been using decals for over 100 years when this little guy was made.

They were subcontracting their machines out to Japan then to China for the production of machines for the underdeveloped countries. It kept cost down and they were able to compete with the Japanese and India.

ok , ladies and gents,, I have a REAL DEAL from JAPAN !!

I am sooo excited,, not that I wasn't already.. but man ..
I sewed on it today and it is amazing.. it sews like no other machine that I have thus far..
