Is there a plate just under where you guage the length of the stiches or near there? That is where my Sewmor 404 is. The machines are very similar. I bet Billy knows.

we have many attachments for the others.
after much looking last night they are decals but however they are in wonderful shape.
we do have a singer serial number on it.. it is not a clone.

the serial number is casted into it on the undercarriage.. when you tilt it back it is on the edge. it comes up in the singer serial numbers under the 15u... date starts at 1956. we are going to call singer and see what else they say.

ty we found the number underneath casted in the machine. it is a TC number in the 15u's.

there is also another number stamped in the casting.. first marking looks a bit like a L but not exactly.. then it is a C13....these are very clear.

I think its really neat. Especially since you found one here that was made in Japan and states that it was. It is in beautiful condition no matter what the age. I am interested to see what more info you come up with

Wouldn't it be neat to collect a machine from every place they were made?

on the bottom of the base of case there is a loop.. my dh and I are still thinking it was used as an industrial machine and that this was used to anchor it? what do you think? if you can see on the motor it is all in japanese and the case has the wording KOYO on it.
