I just saw it last night. Long line and a full theatre. It was wonderful! The line in the movie, "When this civil rights thing blows over" got to me. What a horrible way for people to live.

Ron Howard's daughter was fantastic in it..Looks just like her Dad, saw her on The Talk, she's going to have a baby in real life..Her name is Bryce...such a unusual name..for a girl
Which one was she? Skeeter? Skeeter was fantastic.

Read the book a few years ago, loved it, next week going with neighborhood friends.
I didn't relieze that was still going on in the 60's. I quess living in the North we weren't subjected to having those issues.

I read the book in one day and saw the movie yesterday. Both are great!! It is so sad that an American had to face the kind of prejudices and injustices and indignities that they did and possibly still do.

I loved the movie and it's bound to win some awards, but I wish I hadn't read the book first. Of course, they couldn't include everything that was in the book, but I missed seeing a few really good parts of the book. For those of you who saw the movie but haven't read the book, the book will be even more enjoyable if you read it now.

Yes, I saw it with my hubby and then with a friend last night.

It's really good. Now I want to read the book.

Another book relative to these times is "Warmth of Other Suns". Check it out.
