It's really pretty, looks like you hit the theme of the nursery well too.

Yup I see it, I have to me honest and didn't till you told me. But I really liked it and thought it was an original baby quilt - in a really good way. The tree is obvious - I am not awake yet!

I also agree with making baby quilts how I want to. I tend to make them with what I am in the mood to make. I have seen 2 posts this morning of different baby quilts and love them (yours being one) both.

Great idea! I think you did a good job and the tree stands out. She should be pleased.

It’s beautiful and yes I see the cherry tree. I could see it before your 2nd pic pointing it out. You did a wonderful job and the colors are so pretty.

What a clever idea. Love the cherry tree. It's a beautiful quilt for the new baby.

I can clearly see the tree! What a gorgeous quilt--really, really good job.

Personally, I like it when baby quilts match the nursery. I still make whatever pattern I want (though I do try to choose something that suits the parents' taste, whether it's more traditional or contemporary), but I like knowing that the colors will go together. That way the parents can decide if the quilt will be "used" or simply decoration. I'm happy with either--and I make sure they know that I'm happy to perform any necessary repairs over the life of the quilt. ;)
