I'm in central GA, and I'm definitely a plus size... I get my jeans from Vanity Fair. They have waist sized Lee jeans. They're real good quality and hold up wearing when working in the garden, playing in my flowers, or outside with the dogs. About $22/pair. Don't know if you have Vanity Fair shops up there or not...

CJ Banks. Yes, they're a bit pricey, but they last a long time.

I used buy ColdWater Creek and shopped the outlet online, but Kohls has a good selection and predictable sales . I also like Lands end outlet online , but I have to catch them at just the right time to get my size.

Amanda jeans don't work for me, but Penney's St John's Bay do and they look the same, but they don't fit the same. Lee's newer slimming ones look intriquing, but I can never find them on sale in my size. I do like Lees except the ones with the elastic at the sides of the waist. Too roomy.

I buy mine at Shopko...CHIC brand. They have lots of plus sizes and under $20 a pair with sales sometimes. :-) mostly live in them for every day wear. I love the elastic band as I am getting older.

Kohl's Gloria Vanderbilt for me too. Most comfortable jeans and twill pants ever. Next to 'HIS' men's jeans.

I too like the Gloria Vanderbuilt jeans & cords - they are cut for women's figures with room in the bottom & thighs. Here in the Northwest I get them at Fred Meyer's but it sounds like many places have them.
