Been there and done that more than once.

Shhh! This is the first time I'm telling anyone about this. The only quilt I didn't fix was a queen size one that had been quilted, bound and gifted before I noticed the mistake. I take a photo of my quilts when they are finshed but this one was given away before I really looked at the photo on my computer. Because of its size I assembled the blocks in 2 sections and sewed the 2 sections together up side down. It's not very noticeable because the fabrics all blend nicely but I know it. Before noticing the mistake I had sent the photo to many quilting friends and no one has noticed it but I know it. So I'm depening upon you to keep my secret.

I'm glad you caught it before you finished! Great job! And thank you for sharing the finished quilt.

Boy, I had to look and look and look to find your mistake! Like someone else said, I've learned to take pictures and/or have my husband hold the quilt up at a distance so I can see the entire thing at one time. I've had several quilted only to find a mistake afterward. I'm one of those people who go nuts if there's a mistake. It drives me crazy. I'm fairly new at this, so I guess it's all part of the learning curve. I'm sure a lot more careful these days.

In every quilt there is a mistake. Some obvious, some not. I love what you did and it made you happy so that is all the counts. Great job.

I would be lost without my camera for helping me see my quilts more clearly! It is one of my main quilting tools.
