Thanks Ronda. DH just ordered a book for mother's day by the same person I think but under a different title. We'll see what is in it. We want variety anyways. I'll let you know if it has anything when it comes in.

Welcome Anna! Of course Carol Doakes is one of the best known Paper Piecers...I own a book by Linda Causee called 100 Paper Pieced Quilt Blocks which includes a CD and the option to print out blocks from a 2" to an 8" size. There's a great section on garden blocks. I will likely use at least a couple of her designs. Maybe we can get a list going of possibilities, not to mention some of the free patterns on the internet. I'm working on a Carolina Lily right now and will post a picture when I get one block done. It's a bit time consuming.
The snail and ladybug are adorable! I just received Linda Causee's book yesterday. Lots of intricate patterns. A person could really use up all of their scrap fabric, from little 3/8" on up. Pretty much wowwed me. Wonder what I should do?

I know, right??? I drool over these patterns and then I see some and look for simpler. Although I've tackled a few...the snail was quite do-able and the ladybug was also, although in a 3 1/2" size more tricky than the larger block. Have fun deciding...
