I spent years quilting a whole cloth quilt of white. When I presented it to my first GD at her wedding, she and her new husband both burst into tears! What a joy that they appreciated it. But in this world, each to his own. I'm sure yours was lovely.

Would love to see her quilt. I am in the process of making a white string quilt (Ditter's tutorial) and it is turning into my favorite quilt ever. I usually only use brights and batiks so this is a big change for me.

I've noticed on decorating shows that they often dress the bed in all white linens, blankets and quilts of different textures. I think it looks clean and inviting and maybe that's what he thinks also. I like it when my family and friends point out to me what they like in colors and fabrics because then I get ideas for gifts for them.
I'm sure her white quilt is beautiful and I'd like to see it.

One color quilts can be special. But his comment makes me wonder if her might be color blind.

    It is !
Young people now like Kalvin Klein, Juicy Couture, etc..
French brands and perfums are No No for them.
    I´m stick to the "old"

I love quilts, pieced of all colors, including batiks and mixed; but have recently made some whole cloth quilts with stippling; everyone carried on so over them that I am really into whole cloth quilts now--they are so quick and easy--two days plus the binding and you're done. My GS (whom I dearly love) has accepted two of my BOM quilts with some reservations. But when I recently gave him one of the whole cloth quilts, he actually gushed out loud over it. I was flabbergasted. You just never know......

Maybe I will try a one color quilt and see how it goes. Thank you for the idea.
maybe a 2 color quilt would be something she would like. I made a blue and white one for my DGD and she loves it esp. since blue is her favorite color. this was taken before I tied it and put on binding.
