It DOES have tons of ribbons - just from years past. It was originally entered in Houston in 2006 and won First Place Innovative Pieced and Viewer's Choice. It also has ribbons from MQS, MQX, AQS, Road to California, and on and on....

Janet Fogg (the quiltmaker) lives near me and teaches classes, one of them focused on her technique for taking a picture of something you like and a block you like, and incorporating it into a quilt such as this one. I have several friends who have taken this class and LOVED it. One of them came out of class with a drawing of a quilt so beautiful I can't wait for her to finish it. I didn't think I could afford the class at the time, and am kicking myself now because I understand she's not teaching this class anymore.

Prissnboots, are you the person that got the sample from the Sunshine booth? Muslin with yellow stitching? If so, I was the daughter of the woman who bought their sit down model and we talked outside waiting to load her machine in the truck!

Even if you're not the person I think, it is awesome that you are going to finish it off and it will get some use!

I took three classes this year, all longarm classes, and they were great! I was there 4 days, lucky me I live just 25 minutes south of houston! I hope everybody gets a chance to go! It is a sight to behold!
