Congratulations!!!! Wonderful job...I'm starting to try to lose starting the first of the month-my new insurance has a free gym membership. I'm disabled but feel like I can get back there and do enough to lose. Been reading up on bad food that we think is good for a diet. Kudos for doing it on your own!

Not to toot my own horn, but I'm just so excited!!! In the past year, I have lost FIFTY TWO pounds!!! Friday night I was at Sam's Club and saw a really cute outfit. Since my clothes are falling off of me, I decided to go ahead and get it. They don't have a fitting room at Sam's, so I had to just guess at the size. I bought a size 14 (yes, I realize I still have a way to go), and now that I'm wearing them I realize they're too big!!! I guess I should have gotten a 12, or maybe even a 10! That's down from a size 22!!!!!

What started the weight loss was having a garden last year. I'd go out and work in it, then get too hot to eat but knew I NEEDED to eat, so I'd eat a salad or a small portion of something. After a while of that, my stomach shrank so that it wouldn't hold as much. I left my husband 2 1/2 years ago, and since his idea of a "good time" was sitting at home and watching the weather channel, I'm more active now that I had been. I'm not on any special diet or anything.....just eating less and more active. And as a result of the weight loss, my sugar level has dropped to the point that I've been able to go completely off of one of my diabetes meds, and another one has been cut in half! Now to get the rest of my garden planted so I'll have something to keep the weight loss going this year! :c)

Congratulations. It requires a lifestyle change and you have done that. We all have lost and regained weight over the years. Good luck with your process and all those yummy vegetables you are growing/eating.
