    I've only seen bare metal on the other machines. This one has black paint under the mocha - not just on parts but everywhere.

    These 301's came in 3 colors if I'm not mistaken.... Mocha , tan and black. Oh yes even have two tone ones! Yours wasn't reprinted, it's that color. The pan underneath is the drip pan. Scratches probably made from scissors being in hand or lots of pins came in contact. Nevertheless.... U have a great machine!!
