I like the blue better but whichever you choose it will be great.

I think the blue is too busy; there is not enough contrast between the quilt and the border. The tan is just right. The whole quilt is rather subdued tones, so you wouldn't want something that would be a huge contrast. The tan shows off the beautiful edge of the quilt just right.

I like the tan over the blue but must agree with some of the other posts that you need something just a little darker so i t doesn't blend so much. BEAUTIFUL !!! Keep us posted with what you choose and pictures of it finished. I am in the process of doing EPP also and really enjoy it, very good take with project. Mine is going to be a wall hanging (if it ever gets finished) and is more of a GFG pattern in all blues and yellows. I will probably need the same kind of advise when I get this far. I find it easier to help others decide on color but when it comes to my own projects I can't decide on my own.

Now that i had a little longer to think about it, can you go darker?

I don't know why but i always seem to like very light or very dark borders, whichever doesn't take away from the flow.

Your quilt is awesome! Love the colors, too. But I think that the exquisite piecing gets lost in both of the border choices. I'd suggest going with the white you used, or another solid color - perhaps a blue that coordinates.

Oh such work went into this, I'm impressed. I can see where you fussy cut some to match perfectly. WOW!!!! Have you thought of using a white for the border as you have very little white in the quilt and I would think it would really show the diamond pattern made from all those hexagons? Is this all hand or machine sewn?

Hi Suz, it is hand sewn, used glue on the precut papers so taking any short cuts I can! Thank you all for your suggestions, such a wide range of opinion to consider...
