OOh the badge is so cool! Durn that slip of the screwdriver! It is such a delicate process but working through such much and build-up.

last night was the cleaning of the bobbin winder.

This is the weirdest one I have ever seen. (and gross of course...)
top

Disassembled (as far as I could take it)
Note the String? Apparently at some time in the past the tire got worn and they wrapped this string around it a few times and tied it off to make it work. That is the remains of the tire under the string.

So what do you use/do to get the metal so shiny? Dremel with ?

Brasso, Brass wire brush, 0000 Steel Wool, occasionally bench mounted wire wheel.
