In the late 70's I took my first quilt class from Sharyn Craig. We made a sampler quilt, using the template method. I also took a class with Eleanor Burns through the Adult Education system here in San Diego. I still have her signed book.Who knew she would make such a name for herself. I have also seen her at her Quilt in a Day store during one of the runs. I got side tracked with life and then didn't start quilting again for 20 odd years !! I sure missed alot of fun !

My sister and I had the pleasure of taking a Double Wedding Ring class from John Flynn. He was very interesting and his technique is very easy to do. I made a wall hanging out of batiks - look to your left and there it is as my avatar.

ALL were FABULOUS!!!

It's not a long list but I have taken classes with Trudie Hughes, Ellie Sinkiewicz, Faye Labanaris, Mimi Deitrick, Anita Shackleford, and Doreen Speckman. I have met John Flynn (and his wife), Ricky Tims, and Judy or Nancy Martin (I can't keep 'em straight!) at quilt shows. And, I have actually had dinner with Roxanne and Diedra McElroy. I have autographed books from Ellie and Doreen.

Georgia Bonesteel is one of my good friend's neighbor in Flat Rock, NC> I visited her home and studio once to see if she could help me figure out a problem I was having with an appliqued border. She was delightful and it was amazing to see her quilts in every room in her home.
