I love cats, but can no longer have them in the house.
All of my birds had to go as well.
I have a rescued dog named Toby. I got him when my last German Shepherd died. He is so sweet and smart.
When my husband plays the harmonica, he stands in front of him and sings.
I have taught him to say "I love you" when he wants a treat.
All the kids just love to hear him talk or sing.
And to think he was going to be put down.

Funny how quilting and cats just seem to go together. I have two: 13 year old Noah, and 9 year old Grace. Noah likes to watch me while I sew and quilt. One day I was in another room and heard my sewing machine going, then stopping, then going again. I knew I was the only person in the house and quickly went to investigate. Noah had discovered that stepping on my foot pedal produced a noise. He was stepping on it, then backing off and giving it a strange look, then repeating. He did the same thing once with my computer keyboard. Just a "curious" kitty, I guess. Miss Grace is not allowed in my sewing room unless I am in there because she has been known to ingest almost an entire spool of thread before.

No cats! Me and my dachshund don't like no stinkin' cats!
Yes, I know that grammar is awful but it just has to be said like that.LOL My little Casey helps me sew also and just like cats, if I lay any fabric out on the floor, he will jump in the middle, make his 'nest' and go to sleep. Sometimes he sits on my lap while I sew, sits on my cutting table while I cut. Such a big helper! Couldn't do anything, including buying fabric without him. Casey is my baby. Sue

No cats for me! I fed a stray cat last year that was very skiddish. Had her kittens under my back door steps and I didn't know it. Carried the feed out like I always did and she came running out too eat and as I was moving my hand too leave the plate, she grab my wrist and it cost me over 200.00 at the emergency room that night. Animal control would not remove her and her babies but a dog or something came under our porch one night and when we jumped out of bed that cat was gone and her babies were all over the porch so I had too put them in a pet carrier and fed them by a bottle for a while. I had a miniature toy poodle for 18 years and when she died, I hurt so bad that I made my mind up that I would not have another dog nor ever have a cat. I always worried about my dog when I was gone on a trip even though my dh would be here. So I have a yard full of chickens of which our club will be selling some this week end and I hope my daughter can go help me sell most of them. It gets expensive buying feed for animals and paying vet bills.

I'm down to one cat Tia(she's my Avatar), I had to put my other cat Boots down this past March. Boots was my buddy in the sewing rom, but now Tia has taken it over. She even has her own chir cushion to lay on at the end of the sewing table by the window. She can sun herself and watch what Mommy does all day long.

I used to have two cats, but my autistic son is life-and-death allergic, so I will be cat-free for life! We do have the cutest (hypoallergenic) malti-poo mutt pound dog, though. We named her Jessie, my son is Woody, so it was like the duo in Toy Story! Only she somehow got nicknamed 'Pooper' and now that's all we call her. She's blind as a bat and very entertaining. We love our cute Pooper!

Cute Kittie, looks like he knows who is boss in the sewing room. I have three inside and one stray who is outside. The two kittens are full of the dickens. The older one Galloping Gertie, has gotten a new lease on life since Ben & Jeri came to live with us. :-D Isn't in the Quilting Rules to have a cat??? Oops! wait that would mean quilt police.

This is Gertie, that she is actually in this is so amazing!
