i love my cheater needle it is a needle that you dont have to find the eye to insert the thread it has a opening in the top of the needle you lay the thread across it and pull down and it pops right in the eye !!! i hope that sounds right to you

Accordion pleating works better, rather than rolling the quilt. Its
easier to maneuver through the machine arm. I've quilted queen size quilts with my Bernina 1031, its only got 6.5" of throat space.

I just pushed and shoved to get to the area I needed. I found rolling it up also added too muck bulk.

My first quilt was a king size that I quilted on my Singer sewing/embroidery machine. I just let it puddle around the machine. It was a BIG challenge getting it through that small area. It took a lot of pulling and tugging but worked pretty well. I'm getting ready to quilt another king size quilt for my son. I think this time I'll spray baste instead of pinning.

I just puddle mine. Rolling it is like trying to stuff a log through.

I've only done lap quilts so far on my featherwieght, I just roll and stuff and sew in the middle and work my way out. I think a larger quilt top will be done in sections, and pieced together.
