I really like all of the farmhouses. thanks to BATIKQLTR for the slideshow. Really great work. I have been waiting for some velum so I can print the patterns. Just looking through my stash for fabric. I am a little scared to try this one but I am going to try. A new quilter and learning every day.

You can just use ordinary printer paper if you don't want to wait for your velum to start the farmhouse. I have used both and find the printer paper just as easy.

This pattern looks a bit involved, but if you make sure all the pattern pages print to the correct size and just concentrate on carefully piecing one section at a time, you will be fine.

There are plenty of people of all levels of experience just waiting here to give you any help you may need.

Looking forward to seeing your farmhouse posted.

Save yourself money and use printer paper in the future, works just fine just lower your stitch to 1.5.. Makes it easier to tear off paper at the end.
Also if your new to quilting make it easy on yourself when putting all your blocks together use the largest stitch of 6.0 basting it first seeing if all looks good and seams line up...if not easy to pull out and rebast until your satisfied then lower your stitch and go over the baste stitch and call it perfect...

Well here's one more, just under the wire before the stars come out. I'm not happy with the trees but I'm going to leave them for now and see if I learn to make some better ones along the way. I pieced it a little differently so I could get the second story lined up with the porch and I'm not sure....... Maybe I'll get involed with the next one and when I come back it will look just fine. :)

Re: above. It really isn't as pink as it looks. It's more of a brick red.

I just realized when I posted this picture the "apples" on the tree made a face!! How funny! I didn't plan to do that.
It is the rail that are giving me fits. I redid one three times today and it only got worse, so I five up. Just love your apple tree, and waaaaah, your rails are so connected straight.

whitepine, I love your farmhouse! Adding another tree balanced it out .. or at least added more interest!

Wow!! Two trees in your farm house block. I like it a lot & it looks fine to me. I love the brick color you chose for the house itself. Your out did yourself on this one!!
