I agree that a dark sashing will make a contrast, and a lighter sashing will be very subtle. It is whatever feeling that you want with this quilt. I love these colors so far. Please post when your finished :-) :-)

You ladies are too nice. Thanks for all the compliments!

Here's a picture of the pattern I used. It was my Gma's. It came from a series called Spinning Spools. They would send a new pattern every month (?) with the templates.

It depends on the look you want to create. You could do some peach as a contrasting color for more bunch, or maybe a light blue as a compliment.
