Is it 100% cotton? Usually, if it is, then spritzing with water or spray starch works.
I have always used a spray bottle with 1/3 vinegar (white) & 2/3 water. It's perfect for when you have altered the hem or seams in permanent pressed pants...takes out the old lines and let's you redo the creases.

If you have a really stubborn crease, really spritz with the vinegar water and use a piece of cotton cloth over the fabric and press until dry.

Sometimes it doesn't for me. I have very little of this fabric left and it has a crease in it no matter how I cut the block.

Starch and iron, then again if needed.

Great suggestions. I'd never tried vinegar before. Must do next time.

This block will be used on a crib bumper. Do you think the vinegar smell will stay on the fabric. I guess it will have to be washed? I think I would have to hand wash the block then put the bumper together.
No, the vinegar smell will go away. I always use a vinegar rinse on my hair (makes it shiny), and my hair never smells like vinegar. Just don't use it on hand-dyed or batik fabric, though, because they will run badly.

Best Press takes out the very stubbon creases.

I think Magic Sizing (found at Walmart with the spray starch) works great for removing bad creases. It's only
    about $1 a can.
