Thought I was alone eating PB on pancakes! I love it, but my DH and I are in total disagreement. I say PB must be creamy, thus the "butter". He insists on super chunk. The debate goes on and we buy both.

I'm afraid we'll be seeing similar price hikes on everything else, as well - not just PB. (But I do have a nice stash of PB already in the cupboard!)
I also found Almond butter at Sam's Club yesterday - already more expensive than PB, but I have't tried it yet to compare the taste.

Used to love peanut butter and jelly but haven't eaten it in ages. Sounds good tho even if it is 6 a.m. Seems like peanut butter and celery is my favorite way of eating it now. Hate to hear it is jumping up in price so much at 1 time. Peanut crops seem to be good this year so guess it is fuel costs? We were at the grocery Tuesday and it was on sale. And I didn't buy any. Maybe I should go shopping again. LOL.

    Have a good day!

Peanut butter lasts me forever. I only eat it on crackers as as snack. DH wouldn't touch it.

I love peanut butter with thinly sliced apple sandwiches on whole wheat. Take them quite often for lunch. Especially good when I will be out of the office for the morning and not have access to a refrigerator.

I think that as soon as the word got out about the increase in the price, most stores upped the price on their existing stock. That just makes me NUTS - to hear about an increase in price on something, and then go to the store and see new stickers over old stickers - with of course the higher price on top.
