    You could do a depression block. I did it using 2 prints, but it was made up back in the 1930's for scrap quilts. I think you have the perfect squares for it. You could coordinate fabrics for each block, but not coordiante each block with each other. Hope that made sense- I think it'd be called a controlled scrappy, like you said. I got the depression block off of www.quilterscache.com

    Make half square triangles with one light and one dark. Great for scrappy look quilts.

    I had to mention that I am NOT OCD (far from it---sometimes I wish I were more so), but I used to have them roughly sorted by color. Then, I decided to try some around the world layouts and they kind of got mixed up. :)

    I don't have a guild, but I will make charity quilts from them---or have my daugher make another one--probably a simple two patch/two color. It turned out so nice before and she uses it all the time.

    We have our own charity and earlier this year we made over 80 quilts (I should say we finished over 80--).

    We give them to the poor ladies here in Poland. They love them.

    So far I have the next 40 tops ready but am not in the mood to back and finish--want to work on tops.
