Here's a great site for dating any vintage Singer, as well as the Featherweight machines:

http://thefeatherweight221factory.co...alNumbers.aspx

I like it because you also can find out how many were made in that allotment of machines.

This is the sweetest news I have read this year. Love it.....Congratulations, you're one lucky lady. I would never have thought to look in a pawn shop; now I'll have to set my sons on that trail, even though I already own three FWs.

Oh, I am so happy for you. I am still in the wish I could find one mode, reasonable in price.

But happy to hear someone else got lucky.

Oh no, I guess I am going to add pawn shops to my search and rescue itineraries.

Congrats, Snooks!!

I bought my first FW from a local pawn shop for $180 with lots of attachments, buttonholer, zig zagger, hemstitcher and it was in very good condition. I just needed to have the cord and belt replaced.

Congratulations...that is just great! I am a crazy FW addict...have 7 of them..and just bought a 222k....in the fall from England...I love them....I have to sell some but I can't bring myself to picking one or more that I want to part with..each one is a little different...and they are all so cute...
