I have seen that gadget before but couldn't remember what it was for. Painting your nails makes sense, and it looks like it would work for draining water from a can of veggies. But by far I love the artificial foot and slipper pattern for ducks ideas!

Painting your nails makes me think of the "As seen on TV" gadgets where they want to sell you a gadget to solve a "Problem" you don't really have, like straining pasta. On the ad they are making a mess trying to strain cooked pasta in the sink - "How many times has this happened to you?'" Um well, never. I know how to strain pasta.
I also know how to paint my nails without using any gadgets. But I guess the "gee whiz" factor triumphs again!!

My mother-in-law had one of these. She got hers through some county fair. It is supposed to help "flute" the edges of a pie crust. You lay it horizontal along the edge of the pie and press your dough in the curves, giving you same size, same distance on your pie crust. Not sure what the big hole was to be used for. Guess I'm too much like my mom---- Good cooks don't need contraptions like that to pretty up a pie!
